Output Options

Use EPUB built-in TOC for chapters Parse the EPUB's navigation file (NCX / nav) to detect chapters. Falls back to heading heuristics if no TOC is found.

Include table of contents & headings Preserve chapter headings and add a TOC section. Disable for plain flowing text.

Remove embedded page numbers Remove standalone page numbers inserted into the text (common in older scanned/converted books). Merges split sentences across removed page markers. Subchapter numbers and in-sentence numbers are preserved.

Use original TOC for split parts Filter the original EPUB's TOC entries to only those present in each part. Entries no longer in a part are removed.

Build TOC from headings (heuristic) Detect headings in block text to build each part's TOC. Used as fallback when original TOC is off or yields no entries.

Note: AI summarization is handled by a Cloudflare Worker backend. An API key is required for authentication.

Skip summarization if chapter has fewer characters than this. Use 0 to summarize all.

Max characters per summary

Max text length sent to AI for summarization. Longer text is truncated.

A summary is inserted after the paragraph where accumulated content reaches this many characters.
